My artistic practice explores the sense of estrangement that arises within interpersonal relationships.
In the past, human connections felt natural and transparent. I approached others with sincerity, guided by instinct rather than suspicion. However, as I entered my late twenties, forming new relationships began to feel increasingly unfamiliar and emotionally laborious.

In meeting new people, I now tend to maintain a certain distance. I often find myself deciphering underlying intentions rather than responding to facial expressions or spoken words. Curiosity has been replaced by caution; emotional intuition by rational analysis. Relationships no longer begin in innocence—they are shaped from the outset by subtle strategies and unspoken calculations, which in turn contribute to a growing sense of emotional fatigue.

There is a saying: "The eyes are the window to the soul." I once believed this. Yet over time, I have come to avoid eye contact altogether. It no longer symbolizes connection; instead, it demands interpretation. A glance carries layered meaning, and I have grown wary of what it might reveal. The loss of innocence in human interaction has led me to shy away from even the most basic forms of visual intimacy.

This sense of estrangement and emotional distance, I believe, is not merely a result of aging or social change. Rather, it reflects a deeper shift in how we relate to one another.
Through my work, I aim to examine this shift—to observe, document, and visualize the evolving nature of human connection, and the subtle dissonance that now resides within it.
